Karen had to say...

I love to crochet, but I also love to read!  I am looking forward to being an active member.

....................................................................

One morning the husband returns after several hours of fishing and decides to take a nap. Although not familiar with the lake, the wife decides to take the boat out.  She motors out a short distance, anchors, and reads her book. Along comes a Game Warden in his boat. He pulls up alongside the woman and says, "Good morning, Ma'am. What are you ! ;doing? " "Reading a book," she replies, (thinking, "Isn't that obvious?") "You're in a Restricted Fishing Area," he informs her. "I'm sorry, officer, but I'm not fishing. I'm reading." "Yes, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment. I'll have to take you in and write you up." "If you do that, I'll have to charge you with sexual  assault," says the woman. ! ;"But&n bsp;I haven't even touched you," says the game warden. "That's true, but you have all the equipment. For all I know you could start at any moment." "Have a nice day ma'am," and he left. MORAL: Never argue with a woman who reads. It's likely she can also thinks.

Dear Crochetgirl,

I have just joined and saw your name on the top 25 swappers.  I am contacting you because I saw you are from Ft. Collins, and when I clicket on your name I found out you wanted the Redwall series of whick I have the entire collection.  I will be posting them as soon as I get home today (Tuesday).

Also, my husband and I are looking to move to Ft. Collins in a couple of months.  We are visiting in March to look for housing.  I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing some information about Ft. Collins and the surrounding area.  Thank you.

Hi Karen,

I'm new to this site and was looking at the top 25 and saw your name!  Way to go!  I live in Windsor.  I was thrilled to come across a site like this.  I tried to learn to crochet but it was the only thing that I was not able to transfer since I am left handed.  Oh-well!

Hope your wish list is filled soon,

Christin

Hi Karen!

I am also new to this club and also am a crocheter...in fact I teach it here in South Carolina...reading has been a passion since I was a teenager...and I am 61 now...lol.  Maybe we crocheters may have some books to swap...

Hi, I love to crochet, too. I'm relearning granny square now. I stopped crocheting after a mild stroke.

Hi, I myself am also a crocheter and have been since the age of 9. I am now 50. I have many books and magazines if anybody cares to look at. I would be happy to share what I have and teach crochet if someone asks.

Hi Karen.  Thanks for requesting the book.  I will send it out on Friday, as I should have some money by then.  Hope you enjoy it!
